Reporting a Job Seeker Message or Resume
Overview
Indeed aims to provide a positive, professional experience for all users. While we don’t check job seeker credentials, you can report resumes that may violate our Job Seeker Guidelines.
When to report a message or resume
Report issues such as:
- Malware
- Spam
- Fraud
- Solicitation
- Inappropriate or abusive communication
- Resume misuse
How to report a job seeker message
There are a few ways to report a job seeker message.
From your email
When you receive email notifications about new messages from job seekers, you’ll see the option to Report this message to Indeed.
From your account
- Go to your Messages.
- Select the conversation you’d like to report.
- Click or tap on the three dots menu and Report conversation.
- Follow the prompt and select Report.
Contacting Indeed
Contact us directly to report it.
How to report a resume
If you have the Smart Sourcing subscription
- Sign in to your Indeed account and open the Smart Sourcing tab.
- Find and select the candidate whose resume you want to report.
- In the candidate overview, click the three-dot menu.
- Select Report this resume.
- Choose the reason.
- Click Report this resume to submit your request.
If you do not have the Smart Sourcing subscription
If you don’t have Smart Sourcing, contact us directly to report a resume.
What happens next
We’ll review the resume and investigate the report. If the resume violates our guidelines, it may be edited or removed. While not all reports result in action, your feedback helps us keep Indeed safe and professional for everyone.
